How do I signup for the Podcast Studio

Below is the link to reserve the podcast studio.  Below is the policy and information on the equipment. 

The Podcast Studio is available via reservation to current WCC students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Guests for the recording project must be Westchester County resident (ID Required).  The individual making the reservation assumes responsibility for the room and equipment. A maximum of four people are allowed in the Studio at any given time.

Two-hour booking includes a fifteen-minute period for breakdown and sanitizing the Podcast Studio near the conclusion of your session. Podcasters are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the equipment and software in the Studio. New users should complete a brief equipment orientation video prior to use. The studio is not intended for individual or group study. Food and drinks are prohibited.

The Harold L. Drimmer Library is not responsible for the content created, lost files, or personal items. The College's Internet and Computer Policy applies to all content produced in the Podcast Studio. Downloading, copying, installing, or uninstalling software of any kind is strictly prohibited. *Production of Obscene or Pornographic Content in the Studio are also Strictly Prohibited.

 

Equipment
The Podcast Studio is equipped with the RODE RODECaster Pro II 4-Person Podcasting console, PodMics, headphones, and desktop stands. Users are required to bring a storage device (USB flash drive, external hard drive, etc.). Connecting personal equipment to the console is strictly prohibited.

 

File Storage
All recordings need to be saved to a personal device (i.e. flashcard), SD card, cloud, or your WCC OneDrive account. Any files saved to the podcast studio laptop will be deleted at the end of the session.
