Can I contact a counselor via email or chat?

Instantly chat with a counselor! Please be mindful of the schedule listed below; we will not be able to instantly reply outside of designated hours. However, we also still offer the “Ask-a-Counselor” e-mail option, which also serves to answer quick questions that can save you a trip to campus.

Monday: 3 pm – 4 pm
Tuesday: 10 am – 11 am
Wednesday: 4 pm – 5 pm
Thursday: 10 am – 11 am
Friday: 10 am – 11 am

E-counseling is INTENDED for 1-2 questions such as:

  • Clarification of college procedures & policies
  • General certificate, degree, & transfer requirements
  • Course prerequisite information
  • Course offerings & available majors
  • Referrals to other programs/services (i.e. transfer & career offices)
  • Transferability of WCC courses
  • Placement test inquiries

Online Counseling is NOT INTENDED for:

  • Personal/crisis counseling
  • Transcript evaluations
  • Transferability of courses from/to other colleges
  • Long-term educational planning (using e-counseling in place of an in-person advisement session)
  • Financial Aid inquiries
