Who can request laptops?

Any student currently enrolled at SUNY Westchester Community College without delinquencies on their library account.

Can a student reserve a laptop?

Due to limited availability, laptops are on a first come, first serve basis.

How long can a student checkout a laptop?

Laptops are checked out for the semester. They are due at the end of a semester,otherwise a hold will be placed on the student’s account.

What do students need to do to check out a laptop?

Student's college ID card is required, and students must sign the following agreement to borrow a laptop for the semester.

The agreement will be kept on file for the semester at the circulation desk.

What if a student does not adhere to the student laptop loan agreement?

Failure to comply with the terms of agreement can result is suspension of laptop uses, or fees.

Is there a fee to borrow a laptop?

Laptop loans are free.

What if a student loses the laptop, has it stolen or it is damaged while in their possession

Students will be charged for unreturned or damaged laptops. Repair costs will be determined by the Information Technology Department

How long will it take to activate a loaned laptop?

The time needed to activate a laptop for use after checkout is 1 hour.
